Macy’s Knows It Needs To Change

Ahh Macy’s… the American staple box department store has relied on discounts and sales to keep afloat now struggles with online competitors, like Amazon, that also offer the same incredible discounts. Although they do seem to have a plan on what they need to do to change their old habits, Macy’s continues having a hard time convincing big brand names stay. This is an interesting challenge Macy’s faces—keep large discounts and continue a foreshadowed decline or appeal to a higher end clientele and risk losing loyal customers.
