Construction Underway – Pad Development at Stockdale Plaza

Construction of the new pad development at the heavily trafficked intersection of Stockdale Highway and California Avenue in Bakersfield is now well underway. Consisting of two separate buildings along California Avenue, the project is situated in Stockdale Plaza, a larger center anchored by Bed Bath & Beyond, Smart & Final Extra, CVS & ALDI, with food uses like In-N-Out Burger, Chipotle and Chick-fil-A serving as additional draws. Urbane Café and California Fish Grill have already executed leases for the site and are anticipated to be the first tenants to open during summer of this year. A rare pad opportunity at arguably one of the best intersections in the trade area, active lease negotiations with several national and regional retail and food users continue to progress for the remaining available spaces ranging from approximately 1,200 SF to 7,000 SF in size. Bob Haas & Matt Haas of Cypress Retail Group represented the landlord in the acquisition of the site and are now handling leasing of the project.
